In 2018 April, Maarifa Consult team was contracted to undertake a training on advanced Training on Quantitative Data Analysis using STATA.

The integrated seed sector development (ISSD) Uganda programme aims to contribute to the development of a vibrant, pluralistic and market-oriented seed sector. This contributes to key aspects of agricultural development.

The ISSD team initiated the evaluation with the baseline survey which was conducted by a company between February and March 2018. This will be followed by an Endline in the last quarter of 2018.Since both surveys are to generate amounts of data in terms of number of households interviewed and variables involved, analysis will be done using the STATA statistical package. To effectively use STATA package. It is against this background that a consultant is outsourced to conduct a training in the month of April.

The training aimed at helping Participants to learn how to perform continuous and categorical data comparisons and regression analysis, including linear and logistic regression. The training will teach participants how to incorporate these results directly into research reports. Participants will able to gain the ability to confidently use Stata to organize and analyze data.
